After winning the Brent borough competition, the U14 girls (Khushali Shingala, Madhu Kumar, Jazmin Patel and us) proceeded to the West London county badminton competition where we were successful again by winning all our matches. We were the county champions for 2010.

As we were the county champions, we then proceeded to the next round which was the London Regional finals where we had to compete against the winning teams from North London, East London, South London, Central London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

On Thursday 25th February 2010, we went to K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley to play the next round. We played 5 games per match against Helenswood School, Bacons College and Simon Langton School who were in our pool.  We started off by playing the Helenswood School team who were all part of the national team with a high standard of competition. We tried our best but we lost all our games in that match. Then we played Bacons College where we won all 5 games in the match and just lost against Simon Langton School in the last match. We came 6th in the overall competition. We gave our best to do our school proud. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we are proud of ourselves that we played competitively against the national team players.
